AIR TRANSPORTATION/AIRPORT

Albuquerque International Sunport: The Albuquerque International airport is the most popular way to fly into Santa Fe even though it’s an hour drive away. There are elevators located in the parking structure for easy access and there are also elevators in the terminals that access all three levels of the airport. The airport has wheelchair accessible restrooms with accessible stall, no family/companion bathrooms. There is also Braille signage throughout the airport and TDD offered for people with hearing impairments.

BUS

Santa Fe Trails Bus Service: Santa Fe Trails Bus Services is a public bus and all buses are equipped with a lift or ramp for easy access. However, at this point not all stops are accessible, although the Mayor’s Committee on Disabilities has identified the stops that are in need of alteration and they continue to work on this issue. If you’re unable to ride the Santa Fe Trails Bus due to accessibility, the Santa Fe Ride provides curb-to curb paratransit for individuals with a disability, or who are unable to use the buses. New Mexico Rail Runner Express: “The Rail Runner is wheelchair accessible. While waiting for the train to arrive, passengers should wait at the highest point called the “mini hi”.  When the train arrives, a ramp will be set out for easy boarding. All NM Rail Runner Express stops are wheelchair accessible. A passenger can remain in their wheelchair onboard the train, and the conductor will help secure the chair with safety straps.  Please ask the conductor for assistance if needed.
